Company Profile

History

In 1957 William Henry Gisler began trading under the name of WH Gisler Wireworker in the coastal suburb of Wynnum in South East Queensland.

Nine years later, due to his expanding work load and growing reputation, he brought his son Ken into the business and the name of the company was changed to Gisler’s Wire Works.

Father and son continued to grow the business with hard work and vision until they outgrew their premises, necessitating the need for a new location.

In 1972 the company moved to a factory in Wakerley in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane, expanding in size to five busy factories on the same site by 1986.

In 1991 the third generation of Gislers joined the business when Ken’s son Jason started work, shortly followed by his brother Matthew.

Gisler’s Wire Works then changed names in 1999 becoming Gisler Wire Products.

Gisler continued to expand and diversify around their core business with Gisler Mesh Decks launched in 1999, becoming one of the largest warehousing mesh deck fabricators in Australia. Gisler Display followed in 2000, serving the Point of Purchase industry. The latest addition is Gisler Design, Gisler’s new in-house product design studio that was launched in 2005.

With a further five factories completed by the end of 2005, Gisler Wire Products is the largest Australian owned manufacturer of wire products. By combining three generations of manufacturing experience with state of the art design and manufacturing technologies, our family owned business is set for exciting developments in the new millennium.
